I can finally say "yes" to the endless "Is she walking yet?" queries. Sophie started taking a few steps at a time a couple weeks ago and has steadily started walking farther and farther before falling down or reaching her destination (couch, Mommy, Daddy). She now has walked across an entire room several times. She is still wobbly and lands on her hiney a lot, but indeed, she's walking!
