I am trying to condition my little girls into being Cubs fans. Sadie is on board and calls herself a Cubs lover. BA has the boys leaning towards being little Twins fans and constantly works on Sadie to switch over. I have the edge on swaying Sophie, since I'm the one who buys her clothes. So I guess she's a Cubs fan until she gets old enough to speak up about her wardrobe.
BA and I are VERY excited about a trip we have planned for June. We are going to Wrigley Field to watch two games. The Twins and Cubs will be duking it out, so we get to cheer for opposing teams. I've been buying up lots of Twins and Cubs gear for us to wear on our big trip. Mom's keeping Sophie and Noah, and Peyton and Sadie will be with their dad. This will be BA's and my first "real trip" alone together for a very long time. We are really looking forward to it, and it has really motivated me to keep better tabs on my fave team this year. We are going with a radio station and riding a bus. This is a little risky, since we don't know what sort of people we'll be stuck with. But it does allow us to not worry about accommodations or driving or parking, which makes it a lot less stress and more fun.
Well, the Cubs started out really strong this year and were doing great, but they have been stinking it up their last couple games. I guess I'm just going to have to start cheering for them more. I'm not going to lie; the trip and games are going to be a lot more fun for me if the Cubs beat the Twins. They'd better get their game on.
