Mother's Day 2009

I had an eventful Mother's Day this year. BA and the kids got me a Cricut, which is a fancy shcmancy crafting tool that die-cuts things. It's awesome! The last picture is one of a scrapbook page I made by practicing using my Cricut.

I also received homemade cards and flowers from the kids. They ALSO were all very good little kiddies all day.

We had planned on breakfasting at Perkins, but it was packed, and we were going to have to wait about an hour to eat. So we went to Texas Roadhouse instead. We got there right when it opened and got right in. Delish. As always.

We went to my mom's to wish her a Happy Mother's Day, give her a gift (Lowe's gift card), and dump our kids off on her! Nice Mother's Day treatment, right?

Grandma Juelfs was in the hospital in Cherokee, and Mom offered to keep the kids while BA and I went to see her. She was dying, and it was sure hard to see her like that, but I was really glad I got to see her one last time alive. I was also glad to get to visit with Grandpa and Dad and be there with family.

On the way back to Mom's, we stopped to see Gram Mathers for awhile. Then we got the kids from Mom, headed back to Sioux City, and had our Perkins breakfast for supper!

It was a sad Mother's Day because of Grandma, but it also really made me grateful for my family and all of the good relationships and memories I have.
