Baby in a Box

Sophie has decided that empty boxes are fun and likes to sit in them, climb around in them, and grin at us. I put her in one one of the boxes that Daddy's baseball cards came in. It was on the steps in the garage, so we put her in it, then rang the doorbell and told Daddy he had a special delivery. She found this to be great fun.

Then she spied the box that I had stored my summer clothes in. It was in the basement waiting to be stuffed with winter wear, and she pointed and grunted until I put her in it. I don't really know why boxes seem fun to her, but they sure seem to.

Maybe it has to do with the tub rides she enjoyed a couple weeks ago. Andy and Kate returned a bunch of baby stuff in a big plastic tub. I emptied it so I could return it to them, and it was in our kitchen for a couple days. I put her in it and gave her fast furious pushes around the house, amusement ride style. (It remains unscathed and ready to return to Andy and Kate.)

It's true, the atmosphere at our house is pretty much chaotic carnival most of the time.
